Life Change
I sincerely hope that everyone had a safe and blessed Christmas, and a Joyousholiday season.
Last month I left you with a verse from the book of John 8: 32 “Know the truth and the truth will set you free.” But how do we get to the actual truth of ourlives? What motivates us? Do we live by world views, or do we live by spiritualviews? If we all want to be real with ourselves these are questions, we should asourselves often. However, most of us tend to live very active lives and thereforewe don’t make the time to do exactly that. The following thoughts come from a devotional I read from Pastor Rick Warren.
“If you want God to transform your life, then you have to choose not to conformto what society and culture say you should be or do.” “Changing your life starts bychanging the way you think, and that’s not something you can do by yourself.”“Real change requires learning the truth,” Hence John 8:32.
“The secret to personal change in the hard areas of your life is knowing andapplying the truth- which you will only find in God’s word, the Bible.” Havecircumstances left you with the realization that you are not happy with the wayyour life is turning out? Do you struggle with recurring problems in your life? Howdoes all this pertain to Celebrate Recovery? The Ministry of Celebrate Recovery isa Christ centered program using the Bible and several proven lessons andteachings, that help you discover the truth behind your problems.
